Rockford Health System and Wesley Willows are proud to present the Active Aging series of educational topics for your healthy life. Active Aging presentations will be offered the first Thursday of every month. The events, held at 4142 Johns Farm Road in the Town Center of Wesley Willows, are free and the public is welcome to attend.
The series continues on April 2 at 4 p.m. with a discussion entitled, “Sweet Treats: Let’s Not Sugar Coat It. It’s Diabetes.” Diabetes is a disorder in the way the body uses food for energy. In the United States, there are 21 million people diagnosed with diabetes and many more who go undiagnosed. Join Shalini Paturi, M.D. as she discusses how to know the symptoms, plan your diet, and manage your treatment so you can live a healthy and active life.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to (815) 971-1999.
