Get Covered

The Affordable Care Act, also known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), was signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. The goal of the Act is to provide health care coverage to more Americans and protect existing coverage. More information about the law is available by visiting; the Spanish version is available here.

Rockford Health System has Certified Application Counselors (CAC) available to help you sign up for coverage. From November 15, 2014 - February 15, 2015, counselors will be available Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are also welcome.

The service will be available to individuals that may qualify for public aid under the expanded guidelines or any of the other insurance products available on the marketplace/exchange website.
