Providing Care on the Area's Only Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

Providing medical and dental care for children who are uninsured is the job of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

In three years, 2,500 children have received nearly $500,000 in free medical and dental care on the pediatric clinic on wheels.

 

 

Neuropsychology Services

Lisa Hofmann, Ph.D., a pediatric neuropsychologist, treats children and adolescents with

  • Traumatic brain injury (including concussions)
  • Epilepsy and seizures
  • Acquired brain injury (e.g., stroke, brain tumors, anoxia-loss of oxygen to the brain, multiple sclerosis)
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Injuries sustained at birth (e.g., cerebral palsy, spina bifida)
  • Genetic disorders (e.g., DiGeorge Syndrome, DeLange Syndrome)
  • Prolonged exposure to medical treatments, such as chemotherapy/radiation
  • A medical condition that can impact cognitive functioning in combination with a complex history of intellectual, learning, processing or attention difficulties
  • Emotional adjustment issues related to the medial/neurological disorders listed above.

 Dr. Hofmann provides a variety of services in English and Spanish including:

  • Neuropsycholgoical evaluations
  • Psychotherapy with children and adolescents
  • Neurobehavioral assessment of children and adolescents that have sustained a concussion to assess how this has affected thinking skills and emotional functioning
