Tours begin in the Rockford Memorial Hospital lobby every Tuesday at 7 p.m., every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and every Saturday at 10 a.m. Registration is not required. Regional Perinatal Center is a
state-designated center for the care of
mothers experiencing high-risk
pregnancies and their newborns.
The center cares for women in the 12
counties of northwest Illinois.
The Department of Maternal-Fetal
Medicine is an outpatient service that
is dedicated to providing patients with
the latest and most advanced resources
in prenatal diagnosis and therapy.
State-of-the-art technology is available
to help manage complicated pregnancies,
while maintaining a warm, caring
environment.
For mothers requiring hospitalization
during pregnancy, Rockford Memorial
Hospital houses a high-risk perinatal
unit. This 11-bed unit is designed
to care for mothers in a nurturing
environment who are experiencing
complications during pregnancy.
Rockford
Health System has assembled a team of
perinatologists who provide the
highest-quality of care to our patients.
Together, they have years of advanced
training caring for mothers experiencing
high-risk pregnancies. Our
physicians are supported by exemplary
staff, including registered diagnostic
sonographers, a certified nurse midwife,
and registered nurses, as well as a
registered dietitian and certified
diabetes educator.
