Cancer Center

Rockford Memorial Hospital has a comprehensive cancer care program focused around patient needs. The center is staffed by medical oncologists and a radiation oncologist, and comprises an infusion center, a radiation oncology department, and an inpatient oncology unit.

The infusion center and radiation oncology department are located just steps from each other, which is convenient for patients who are receiving both forms of treatment.

The Cancer Center at Rockford Memorial Hospital has been accredited by the Commission on Cancer for more than 30 years.

Infusion Center

Infusion treatment is the therapeutic introduction of a fluid other than blood—for example, a chemotherapy drug—into a vein.

Our infusion center is a convenient and private facility that provides a comfortable, supportive atmosphere for patients and families during treatment.

The infusion center is open Monday through Friday, and offers flexible scheduling to ensure that patients have easy access to the care they need.

Radiation Oncology Department

Radiation therapy can be administered by itself, before or after surgery, or in conjunction with chemotherapy.

Our radiation oncology team carefully plans each patient’s treatment, and administers radiation therapy using state-of-the-art equipment.

Inpatient Oncology Unit

Our 17-bed inpatient oncology unit is staffed by a team who specialize in caring for patients with cancer. The unit is located on A-3 at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
