Preparing for Childbirth

Rockford Health System offers a class to prepare for both a vaginal or Caesarean birth, as well as for becoming a parent. These small classes are especially recommended for first-time moms-to-be and their support persons.

Class Fee: $50

In 2016, the classes will be held on the following dates in Classrooms 1 and 2 of the Ingersoll Building, located on the North Rockton Campus [map]:

In 2016, the one-day classes will be held on the following dates from 9 am-4 pm:

  • November 19
  • December 17

In 2016, the three-night class is held on the following dates from 6:30-8:30 pm:

  • December 1, 8, 15

In 2017, the Saturday classes will be held from 9 am-4pm in Classrooms 3 and 4 of the Ingersoll Building, located on the N. Rockton Campus [map]:
