Rockford Health System Care Mobile Celebrates 10th Anniversary

July 17, 2013

What:               The Rockford Health System Care Mobile will host an open house to celebrate ten years of delivering medical and dental care to uninsured and under-served children in North Central Illinois. Since the program began in 2003, it has served more than 5,800 children and their families, given more than 1,200 immunizations and provided more than $1.5million in free care.

The Care Mobile started as a collaborative effort with Ronald McDonald House Charities, Rockford Memorial Development Foundation and the Rockford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. In 2012, RHS took sole ownership of the Care Mobile and expanded from a four-month program to a year-round program.
