Visiting Nurses Association's Hospice offers specialized treatment and compassionate care for patients and families coping with a terminal illness, have a prognosis of approximately six months or less, and seek comfort rather than cure.

VNA Hospice assists caregivers in offering supportive services to allow patients to live in their choice of residence with the greatest degree of comfort, dignity, and control. We meet the patient and family where they are and on their terms, upholding their wishes and goals.

Hospice commits to helping patients and families maintain or enhance the quality of life. It is for patients who have chosen to no longer seek curative treatment, but rather choose a plan to be free of pain and symptoms and to attain a mental and spiritual preparedness for death. Hospice affirms life. It neither hastens nor postpones death.

We provide 24/7 services through a holistic team of professionals and volunteers.

VNA is licensed to provide hospice services in the following counties: Winnebago, Boone, western McHenry, and Ogle. For more information about Hospice, or to make a referral, please call (815) 971-3748.
